Sony has introduced the ECM-W5, a wireless microphone system designed for creators, combining high-resolution audio recording, 32-bit float support and a claimed wireless transmission range of up to 500 metres under line-of-sight conditions.

Designed to simplify audio recording across different production setups, the system integrates with compatible Sony cameras while also supporting direct connections to smartphones and computers.
