Galaxy Buds On, Samsung’s First Open-ear Earbuds
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Buds On, its first clip-on wireless earbuds under the Galaxy Buds series, offering an open-ear design that lets users listen to music while remaining aware of their surroundings.
Unlike conventional in-ear earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On rest around the ear without blocking the ear canal. The design is paired with TwinBoost speakers for richer bass, Audio Leakage Reduction technology and Intelligent Clear Call for clearer voice calls in noisy environments.
Key Highlights
Open-Ear Clip-On Design: Keeps the ear canal open, allowing users to remain aware of surrounding sounds while listening.
TwinBoost Speakers: Designed to deliver richer bass and fuller sound.
Intelligent Clear Call: Combines three microphones, a bone-conduction Voice Pickup Unit sensor and machine learning to help isolate voices from background noise.
Audio Leakage Reduction: Helps minimize sound escaping from the earbuds, particularly useful in shared spaces.
Hands-Free AI Features: Supports access to Gemini Live through compatible devices, along with head gestures for selected controls.
Quick Voice Memo: Lets users record voice notes using the earbuds, with additional functionality requiring compatible Galaxy AI devices and Samsung apps.
Up to 9.5 Hours of Playback: Offers up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge, according to Samsung.
The Galaxy Buds On will initially launch in South Korea in black, priced at 299,000 won. Samsung has indicated that availability in other markets will follow, although regional launch dates and pricing have yet to be confirmed.
